Apple MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2014 A1398 i7 2.5GHz 16GB 500GB SSD Big Sur
FOR SALE
Apple MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch – Mid 2014 – A1398 / EMC 2881

This is a fully functioning 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro that has been cleaned, tested, a fresh copy of macOS Big Sur installed, and is ready for its next owner.

It has a 2.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory, 500 GB flash storage, Intel Iris Pro graphics, and is running macOS Big Sur 11.7.11. The model identifier is MacBookPro11,3.

The battery is a strong feature on this machine. It currently shows only 14 cycle counts, a battery condition of Normal, and approximately 8150 mAh Full Charge Capacity. It charges and operates normally.

Cosmetically, the MacBook is in good used condition for its age. There are normal signs of use, including minor marks, scuffs, and some edge wear. Please use the photos as the best reference for its exact cosmetic condition.

The MacBook boots normally, and the keyboard, trackpad, display, Wi-Fi, battery, and charging have been tested and are working. The keyboard connector locking latch was professionally replaced; no soldering was required, and the keyboard is fully functional.

Included with the sale are the MacBook Pro, Apple MagSafe 2 power adapter, and Apple AC extension cord.

With 16 GB of RAM, 500 GB of flash storage, and an unusually low-cycle battery, this remains a very capable classic 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro.

Vintage Toshiba T250 with system disc etc. needs a responsible home
FOR SALE
I'm not a computer person but have ended up with what I believe is a historically significant Toshiba T250 with system disc, manual, printer, 8” floppy discs, etc. The computer has been in my basement untouched since 1990. It has not been plugged in since and was in working order back then. It does not have any obvious damage. It was owned by a renowned curator who worked at the Field Museum in Chicago for over 30 years until his death in 1990. There are likely unpublished manuscripts and research on the floppy discs. I would like this computer to end up in the hands of someone who can safely try to start it up and possibly recover unfinished manuscripts and research on the many floppies, as well as learn and share information regarding the operating system and computer itself which I suspect are historically significant in the vintage computer world. Price in the $350 range but negotiable based on your willingness and ability to recover files, share info etc. I will be at the fair on Sunday and will try to have the computer with me if I can get last minute table space. If not, I live in the area (Barrington) and can get it to you. Advice on how to proceed is also welcome.

Osborne w/ box, many upgrades, 100+ disks, manuals, magazines
FOR SALE
This Osborne OCC1 was the first commercially successful portable computer. Sporting a Z80 processor and ran CP/M operating system. "Low" price of $1795 MSRP in 1981 = over $6500 in 2026 dollars. This one was purchased 12/4/1982 per the copy of the user registration card, and looks to be produced on Mischief Night / Devils Night 10/30/1982 per the pictured silver strip. Hard to find one with the case plastics in as good shape, and with as many upgrades and extras!

• Screen Pac 80/104 column upgrade
• Comm Pac modem upgrade
• Double density upgrade
• Over 100 floppy disks included
• Many manuals and documentation
• 13 issues of Portable Companion magazine (of 17 total)
• Original box and foam, drive inserts to protect heads

Only a little yellowing towards the back of the left side. The hinges, doors, and handle are still great.

Still booted right up - **however** it is due for a re-cap restoration. I think it just blew a capacitor after about 5 minutes of being powered on for the first time in ~10 years. Was still working but I shut it off right away. The CRT monitor could use adjustment, note the diagonal lines and slightly off center. Didn't test all the keys today but I remember the keyboard being fully functional (like everything else) last time I had played with it.

Looking for a good home. I had bought it from the original owner many many years ago. I kept it over getting rid of C64 Apple II TRS80 and even an Amiga (regret that for sure) at times when moving, because it is in such great shape and has so many extras I felt it is worthy of being a keeper. But, mostly it sat in a box and it takes space to keep it stored cool/dry.

$450 OBO have bills to pay and everything is so expensive now a days

See craigslist link for pics. I'm on the North Shore of Chicagoland. Can bring to VCF Vintage Computer Fest.

Alienware Gaming Laptops
FOR SALE
Two Gaming Laptops For Sale:

Dell Alienware 15 R3 (2017), great condition with new battery and upgraded charger (320w). 1080p G-Sync LCD with Windows Hello camera. Windows 11 Pro. Intel i7-7700HQ (4c8t) CPU with a dedicated NVidia GTX 1070 GPU, 8GB of VRAM. 32GB DDR4 RAM. Storage: 256gb boot SSD, RAID0 2x500gb NVMe SSDs, and a 2TB spinning SSHD! Thunderbolt 3. Besides gaming, I got my start with Machine Learning on this computer thanks to its GTX 1070 and 8GB of VRAM. It’s 2026 and new GPUs are still coming with 8GB of VRAM so this thing’s basically State of the Art! (not)

Completed 15 R3 sales on eBay are around $350+ with less storage and RAM. I’d like some extra spending money for the weekend so I’ll take offers.

Also for sale: Dell Alienware M15 R1 (2019), gently used and nearly pristine condition with new battery and upgraded charger (240w). 1080p 144hz LCD. Windows 11 Pro. Intel i7-9750H (6c12t) CPU with a dedicated NVidia GTX 1660 Ti GPU, 6GB VRAM. 32GB DDR4 RAM and dual 500GB NVMe SSDs. There’s room inside for a 2.5” HDD or SSD (cable&bracket needed). Thunderbolt 3, and the original box! This is the “thin and light” Alienware series.

M15 R1s are selling on eBay for about $450 and up with less storage and RAM. I’d like some extra spending money for the weekend so I’ll take offers and consider trades. Email me and thanks for looking!

90s/2000s PC stuff
FOR SALE
I've got a couple of early 2000s PCs.

Dell Dimension 4500 with P4 2.66GHz and 1GB RAM. Has an SB Live Value CT4780, a Wi-Fi card, a NIC and an AGP GPU that i suspect is a GeForce Ti4200 but not fully sure anymore. Boots fine but no OS, 10GB IDE HDD
installed.

Beige AthlonXP 1600+ on an ECS KM400-M2 board. I think the GPU is a Radeon 9600 Pro, but again, no OS so it's difficult to verify. Main board boots and GPU puts out a picture.

I've got a couple other AGP GPUs (ATi Rage Pro and maybe a couple Rage 128 Ultra?), some NICs, a Wi-Fi card and a 56k MODEM PCI, a Philips PSC705 PCI sound card, some ESS ISA sound card, SDRAM and DDR RAM (SODIMMs and DIMMs). Some IDE and floppy cables. All this stuff has been out of a PC for years, untested.

Feel free to email with questions and offers. I plan to be at VCFMW Sunday with this stuff if people are interested.

Roland MT-32
FOR SALE
$275

Works great but read on....

This was bought as non-working off of eBay some years ago. The unit worked fine but the LCD was dead and there was no knob. Upon opening the device a previous owner tried and failed to replace the LCD ribbon cable. I restored the LCD connections inside and boom it worked great.

This was my daily driver for MT-32 sound for many years.

Knob has been replaced with one cast out of resin from a mold of a real MT-32 knob.

Comes with a couple audio cables and a compatible power supply.

HP Visualize b2600 desktop
FOR SALE
I have an HP Visualize b2600 desktop system available. It is missing its power supply and I have never been able to test it because of this. There are replacement power supplies available, if you are willing to take the plunge. Other than that, it is missing its hard drive but otherwise fully intact. This system has a 500 mhz PA 8600 - quite a decent CPU for HP UX, and it has 3 out of 4 RAM slots populated and a graphics card.

IBM PS/1 Model 2011
FOR SALE
I have an IBM PS/1 Model 25 with its corresponding monitor in working condition. It is unfortunately missing the front plastic case panel, but perhaps a 3D printed replacement could be fabricated. The floppy drive likely needs to be serviced, and it has a dead Dallas battery. It has an installation of IBM DOS and Windows 3.1, but it can't seem to launch into the install. It is equipped with a modem and a proprietary RAM expansion card. The hard drive is propriety and original, so I can't guarantee it will still spin up once you bring it home.

Selling my Apple Lisa - $2500 obo
FOR SALE
This is my Apple Lisa 2/5. Model number A6S0300 with memory option A6S0304. Serial number A3243168.

What is this machine's history?
I acquired it from an old employer back in the late 1990s when I saw it sitting on a shelf in the basement. It's largely been sitting on the shelves of *my* various basements ever since.

What condition is she in?
Physically, the outside is in great shape, as the accompanying pictures plainly show. But electrically it's an open question. There is some corrosion damage caused by the battery leaking. It looks repairable to me, though I haven't attempted it. I also don't have the 5MB ProFile hard drive that allegedly came with this model nor any diskettes, so I don't have the means to test it.

Does she work?
Short answer: no.
Long answer: I last attempted to power this system on in the late 1990s. The power supply and monitor both worked, but the system would not boot, beep, or show anything on screen. I do not recall the stench of failing RIFAs so I don't think this made whatever damage existed any worse. It has not been connected to electricity since.

Why am I selling it?
After 27 years of planning to restore it, I am accepting the fact that that's never going to happen. Hopefully someone else with more time and talent can restore her to the glory she deserves.

What are you looking to get?
$2500, or best offer. Cash or usual cash apps accepted.

How do you justify that?
It's worth this if parted out, based on recent eBay activity and other sales/auctions I could find.
The mouse and keyboard are worth $500-$750 each, the CPU is worth $1100-$2000.
Working models sell for over $3500 while examples similar to this one go for around $2500.

I will be at VCF Midwest all day on Saturday if anyone is interested.

Vintage 1969 DEC PDP-8/I EDU30 Computer System - Two-Owner Lot
FOR SALE
Up for sale is a complete, two-owner historic Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) PDP-8/I computer system, originally configured as an EDU30 educational system.

PROVENANCE & HISTORICAL CONTEXT:
• History: Purchased brand new in 1969 by Holy Cross High School in River Grove, IL. The seller learned programming on this exact machine at its inception and personally purchased the entire system directly from Holy Cross in the late 1970s. It has been preserved in private, climate-controlled storage ever since.
• Operational Status: The system was carefully put into storage in fully working condition. At the time of storage, the front panel switches were responsive and the RIM loader was fully functional.
• IMPORTANT PRESERVATION NOTE: Following expert archival advice, the system has intentionally NOT been powered on recently. This preserves the integrity of the original power supply capacitors and avoids damage, leaving the safe, controlled "bringing up" process to the next archivist or museum technician.

COMPLETE TECHNICAL INVENTORY & MEDIA:
• Main Computer Chassis: DEC PDP-8/I with 4K of magnetic core memory.
• Peripherals: Original Teletype Corporation Model ASR-33 console terminal (complete with integrated mechanical keyboard matrix, page printer, paper tape punch block, and automatic paper tape reader assembly).
• Card Reader Subsystem: Original DEC CM8/I Optical Mark Sense Card Reader (Serial No. CM8I5012). The chassis and mechanical assemblies are fully intact. The unit was not inputting data properly when last operational; it requires targeted vacuum pump maintenance/seal replacement and an internal capacitor rebuild to restore full timing and feed synchronization. Fully matches the included MAINDEC-89 diagnostic card decks.
• Hard Drive (Bones Only): Originally equipped with a 32K disk system. The internal components and platters are missing; only the structural cabinet/chassis "bones" remain.
• Software & Media Library: Large collection of original 1960s/1970s DEC software on paper tapes in plastic storage sleeves (including EDU 30 Site Starting Binary, FOCAL-8, PAL III, MACRO 8, FORTRAN D Operating System/Compiler/Utilities, and various MAINDEC diagnostics) along with rare punched card decks (MAINDEC-89-D2B2-C CM11 Mark Sense Binary and MAINDEC-89-D2C1-C CM Alpha Card Decks).

INTERNAL LOGIC & FLIP-CHIP MODULE GUIDE:
The list below serves as a general structural baseline. Buyers are requested to rely strictly on the pictorial evidence in the shared link to confirm the exact inventory, slot locations, and specific engineering revisions of the internal cards:
• Core Memory Subsystem (4K): G624 (x4), G228 (x4), G221 (x6), G020 (x6), G826 (x2)
• CPU Major Registers: M220 (x6) complete 12-bit register slice
• Factory DF32 Disk Controller Interface: Built-in disk electronics including the G083 Preamplifier, G284 Writer, and R202 modules.
• Timing, Logic & Serial Control: M310, M360, M216, M160, M111, M113, M115, M117, M617 logic gate series alongside the M452 Teletype clock and white W025 interface connector modules.

LOGISTICS & SHIPPING TERMS:
Due to the significant weight, extreme fragility, and immense historical value of this entire system:
• Local Pickup: Strongly preferred. The item is located in the greater Chicagoland area.
• Freight/Shipping: The buyer must fully arrange and pay for specialized professional crating, packaging, and freight shipping. The seller will cooperate fully with the buyer's chosen logistics company for pickup coordination, but will not be responsible for packing or securing the machine for transit.

Numerous Desktops And Laptops For Free/Sale
FOR SALE
It’s time for me to downsize, and I really need to make some space. I will be open to negotiation on many (if not all) of these prices. I want these systems gone, and I mean that. By the looks of it I will only be able to attend on Saturday, and I don’t want these to go to scrap. Unfortunately I may be cash-only, but please inquire, I may be able to take other forms of payment (paypal, venmo, etc. No promises). I would like to add that I have gone through completed listings on eBay to get my rough prices for these systems, but I am wide open to negotiation, especially as I’m probably overestimating a lot of these prices. Getting these computers gone is my first priority, getting paid is second. PLEASE keep that in mind when you text me. Seriously, I don’t want these anymore. Take them.
I will send pictures of any device, just ask! I am also listing items I’m giving away for free, just in case anyone would like to claim them before they go to the pile. They will be dropped in the pile when I arrive, excluding anything that is claimed.
FOR SALE:
Dell XPS 630i: NOTE: THIS SYSTEM CURRENTLY HAS A DEAD PSU. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo of some sort (I wasn’t able to get an exact model before the psu blew), and would make a great XP gaming system (that’s what it was after all). It won’t come with RAM or an HDD as it is currently in a broken state. I have debated pulling the GPU for another system of mine, but please let me know if you want it, it is an Nvidia 8800 of some sort, I can’t recall the exact model. It has many stickers/decals on the side panel, and there are a few broken clips on the front panel. Otherwise the system worked fine before the PSU blew, but I cannot test further as the PSU seems to be proprietary. First price for this is $50.

HP Compaq 6005 Pro: This system has been gutted, no RAM, no HDD, and I believe no DVD drive either. It has an AMD Phenom II X3 B75 @ 3GHz. $20

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2: Fully working and in near-mint condition. comes with original bluetooth keyboard. This runs Windows 8.1 and has an Intel Atom chip in it, with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of eMMC. It will be reset prior to VCF. Charges with micro-usb and has microsd for expansion. Battery still holds a good charge. $40

Toshiba Mini NB205-N311W Netbook: Very good shape, currently running the original Toshiba installation of Windows XP Home. It has an Intel Atom N280, 2 GB of DDR2, and a 750 GB HDD. I am unsure if I have a spare charger for this. If I do it will come with. The battery holds a charge shockingly well. $30

Toshiba Satellite C655D: This is a Windows 7 laptop with an AMD E-300, 3 GB of DDR3, and NO HDD. If I can find a spare charger, it will come with. $20

HP Pavilion G7-2240US: This is a Windows 8 laptop with a 2nd gen Core i3, 6 GB of DDR3, and a 750 GB HDD. It will be wiped, and sold with a charger if I can find an extra. Very good condition. Don’t expect it to do everything you need with ease, but it could handle basic tasks. Better than a chromebook, I’d say. $40.

HP Pavilion DV6Z-6B00: This is a Windows 7 laptop with an AMD A6-3400M, 4 GB of DDR3, and a 640 GB HDD. The casing is a little worse for wear but still works great. It will be wiped and come with a charger, if I have a spare, just like the others. $35

Compaq 610: This is a Vista laptop with a Core 2 Duo T5870, 3 GB DDR2, and an 80 GB HDD. My notes say it has a bad CMOS battery and a non-working key. What key isn’t working, I don’t know. $20. I think you get it by now.

HP Compaq dx2400 MT AM: This is a Vista desktop with a Core 2 Duo, 2 GB of RAM, and an 80 GB HDD. There’s nothing special about this. I’ll put a fresh install of Vista on it. $20.

Acer Aspire 5515: This is a Windows Vista laptop (Could you tell I have too many?) with an Athlon 2650e, 2 GB RAM, and a 160 GB HDD. It will come with its charger and its original copy of Vista Home Basic. $20. Good shape and works great.

Asus Transformer T102HA: This is a nice little Windows 10 tablet. Like a knockoff Surface. Except it has an Intel Atom x5, 4 GB RAM, and 128 GB eMMC. It will come with its detachable keyboard and a fresh install of Windows 10 LTSC (I’m spoiling you guys). Charges with MicroUSB as well. $30 a pop (I have two of these for sale).

Lenovo G560: This is a Windows 7 laptop in decent shape with a Core i5 M540 (as my notes say), 4 GB DDR3, and a 320 GB HDD. It will come with a fresh install of Windows 7. It will, for sure, come with a charger. There’s nothing special about this. $20.

Dell Inspiron N5010: This is a Windows 7 laptop in rougher shape, but still works fine, with a Core i3 M380, 4 GB DDR3, and a 640 GB HDD. It will come with a fresh install of Windows 7, and possibly a charger. $20.

FREE!!
HP Pavilion a6512p: Very unspecial system. It’s an intel board (non-original) in the HP chassis. It has a Pentium E2200, and that’s it. No RAM or HDD, but it is a vista-era machine. Could make a fun sleeper build, but I don’t have the space or money for it.

Dell Inspiron Chromebook 11 3181: It’s a chromebook. HOWEVER, it has been flashed with mrchromebox firmware that allows it to run Windows and standard Linux. So that makes it cooler, I guess? It has a Celery N3060, 4 GB of RAM, and 32 GB eMMC. No OS currently, and it seems to be hanging up when I try to install one. It won’t boot into any OS, so I’m going to assume it’s wiped. Either way it wouldn’t have sensitive info. No charger, but the battery works well and it takes a very standard charger. Why did I decide to replace the broken screen in this?

HP Chromebook 11 G4: Same deal. However, this one is currently running a fresh install of Linux Mint (but has a password… I forgot it but there’s no data on the machine, and had the same weird issues with reinstalling linux), has a Celery N2840, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB eMMC. Please just take it. You could take it out of my hands and smash it on the ground for all I care. Hell, it could still work. Battery works, no charger.

Lenovo Chromebook 11e: This is actually my best intel chromebook (excluding my school chromebook). Same mrchromebox firmware, Celeron N3150, 4 GB RAM, 16 GB eMMC. It has this weird display issue where the colors get all garbled after a while. It makes good gitch art, but it fixes itself after a bit and repeats this cycle. Tried to wipe it but I couldn’t get an OS installed on it, so it has no OS. No charger. Is anyone gonna take these chromebooks? Someone please do.

Toshiba Satellite L355: Windows Vista beefy boi (not powerful) laptop. Intel Celeron 900, 3 GB DDR2, 250 GB HDD, dead battery. Vista will be reinstalled, because I’m nice. Not the best shape but it looks durable. Charger included if I have one for it.

IBM Thinkpad 380ED: possibly the one item that might get a home. This device is BROKEN. Plastics are cracked, screen backlight seems to be dead, or very dim, no HDD, no RAM (besides anything onboard), no charger, just the laptop. It did boot when I first tested it, so that’s IBM for ya. Thank you, Thinkpad.

Gateway XP Media Center Laptop: This one’s interesting. It will randomly shut down, every time it is used. I couldn’t even complete a windows installation because it shut down. I don’t know what model it is. It will come with a charger. Has an AMD Turion chip, 2 GB RAM, 120 GB HDD. Maybe someone’s interested in it. The battery actually holds a charge. I think. It would shut down both on AC and battery power, but no signs of overheating.

Compaq Presario F700: Windows Vista laptop, decent shape but is missing the F9 keycap. I believe I have a charger for it so it is included. Works fine otherwise (I think). AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-57, 2.5 GB DDR2, no HDD.

Gateway G6-333c: This is a Windows 98 desktop, much smaller than a normal desktop PC. No RAM or HDD, but will come with a CD-ROM drive (maybe two, depending on what I have, untested) and a 3 ½” floppy. No RAM or HDD. It has a 333 MHz Celeron. I retrobrited the front case, but it never got perfect. It’s a good system, I just have a better 98 PC and don’t need this anymore. I might have an extra 3 ½” floppy drive. It only has 2 5 ¼” bays and 1 3 ½”. All drives are untested, but the board I know works.

Old used TV vacuum tubes, various makes, c. late 60s (?)
FOR SALE
Grabbed a box of approximately 30 various tubes from a local St. Louis-area yard sale this summer. Thought I'd found a mother lode of new old stock, then discovered the RCA and Raytheon boxes had been reused to house used/dead tubes by a repairman c. 1960s-early 70s.

I'm bringing them with me to VCF on Saturday and will gladly let someone who knows about tubes inspect them to see if there's any worth saving. I do not have a tube tester or anything that runs on tubes. All I've done is remove them from a decaying, dirty cardboard box and brush the worst of the dust off.

No prices in mind. I'd like to get back some or all of the $20 I paid to get the box when I thought it might contain new-old-stock tubes. Otherwise, I want them to go somewhere useful, if they're still of any use for anything other than steampunk craft projects or "DiMA from Fallout 4: Far Harbor" cosplay. B-)

Newton-NTI Apple-1 Replica

Classic 1983 portable computer with the original Radio Shack retail box and manual. The original packaging makes this a particularly nice piece for a vintage-computer collection.

WiebeTech Digital Forensics Field Kit
Early-2000s professional digital-forensics acquisition hardware in its original Pelican field case. Includes drive interfaces/adapters, power supplies, cabling and associated hardware. A fun piece of early computer-forensics history.

Atari 800, 48K, with Atari 810 Disk Drive, Fully Restored: $300
FOR SALE
For Sale: A beautiful, fully restored (inside and out) Atari 800 with 48K RAM and Atari 810 floppy disk drive. Includes floppy drive (SIO) cable, power supplies for computer and drive, a monitor cable, a DOS 2.5 floppy, Speedlink joystick (modified for Atari), and a Basic programming language cartridge.

This is a really clean example of Atari's first step into the home computer market. It comes with everything you need to take it home, plug it in, and start gaming, programming, etc.! It has been fully restored. Highlights of the work that has been done:

• Entire unit cleaned, inside and out
• Floppy drive lubricated and cleaned
• All tantalum caps on 12v rails replaced
• All electrolytic caps replaced on all boards
• Connector solder joints re-flowed
• Keyboard keys retrobrighted

I love restoring these machines as a hobby, so I'm just looking to recoup my costs of the computer and drive and the replacement parts.

Commodore 128, 1571, VIC-20
FOR SALE
I've got a functional Commodore 128 and VIC-20, and a not so functional 1571 floppy drive. I'm pretty satisfied with my C64C, so I'd like to pass them on to someone who will actually use them instead of leaving them collecting dust.

C128: Beautiful condition inside and out. Had a broken key stem when I got it, which has been replaced with a 3d printed stem and a spring that feels almost correct. I don't have a port testing harness, but it passes all other tests with the C128 diag rom rev 785260. My ears are untrained to tell how accurate the SID sounds, but it seems fully functional. Includes the original power supply.

VIC-20: Has one smudge on the top case near the power LED and one on the bottom but otherwise appears almost unused. I opened it to clean it and there was nothing to do. It's a silver badge C64 style model, two pin power. Not sure which board revision. Haven't done extensive testing with this one, but poking around BASIC works and it was reported functional when I received it. No power supply for this one, I've been powering it with the DC trick.

1571: Won't read anything, but PSU voltages look good and it and pokes around looking for tracks. Not sure if a head is bad or if it's out of alignment (or some other third thing!).

I'm looking for:
- $220 for the C128
- $70 for the VIC-20
- $70 for the 1571

I'm willing to haggle a bit. Email me if you're interested or have questions, I'll be around the show from late Friday through Sunday morning to do a handoff. I can also provide photos of specifics on request.

Apple IIgs and composite monitor
FOR SALE
ROM 1 IIgs, desktop only (no monitor, drives, or KB/M) minor dings on the front edge, missing port covers but in good internal condition, confirmed working, and battery modded to remove the original soldered battery. Stock 256K RAM. Send offer, I'll have it on site. Will have an ADB keyboard and Fujinet on hand to validate it works, but the listing is for the desktop unit only. I don't have a mobile display that accepts RGB, so will only be able to demonstrate composite in-person unless you bring something that takes native or SCART.

Also have an AppleColor Composite Monitor, working condition with some yellowing, some adjustment knobs might need work. Send offer, I'd rather not haul CRTs I don't need to so I won't be transporting it w/o confirmed interest before 9/9 evening. Would consider trades + cash for a working AppleColor RGB or Commodore 1084

Wafflenet's Garage Sale! PCjr, Sonnet G4/450, TRS-80 MC-10
FOR SALE
Help me clear out some space for new and interesting projects.
Prices are negotiable! I want these items outta here!

Email me or come by the Wafflenet/The OPL Archive table during the show.

==Partial PCjr System== $50
It's a PCjr. Yay.
Completely untested because it didn’t come with a power supply or keyboard, and I’m just not that interested in getting all the parts together. Probably would make a great spare!

Also comes with:
Two boxed PCjr internal modems (one sealed!)
Parallel port sidecar
Spare floppy controller
Cartridge BASIC
ColorPaint

==Sonnet Crescendo G4/450== $250
This is an accelerator for a PCI Power Macintosh such as the 7500/7600/8500/8600/9500/9600 and related clones.
Comes in the box with manual and driver disks.
Worked in a Power Macintosh 9600 I used to have, but now I only have a PowerTower Pro with an uncommon motherboard revision that does not support Sonnet G4's specifically.
I would consider trading this for a comparable G4 card from another brand that DOES work with my PowerTower Pro such as a NewerTech MAXpowr G4.

==TRS-80 Micro Color Computer MC-10== $40
No cables for this little guy, IIRC it worked with the cables from my complete unit, but that was many years ago when I tested it.

==Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop== $20
Dude, it's a Dell!
Pentium 4 2.0ghz w/ 512MB RAM. Boots up fine, comes with a power supply.

==Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L motherboard== $20
MicroATX LGA 775 board. Has a Pentium Dual-Core E5200 CPU and 2 GB DDR2 RAM installed.
This board appears to be supported by Coreboot/Libreboot if that’s your kind of thing!

==Netgear DS106 10/100 Hub== $5
Come on, someone has to want this thing, right?
It even comes with the original box!

I have two MTS function generators for sale. One is from 1964 and has sine, square, triangle, and ramp waveforms. That one has two manuals with it. The second is newer, probably mid 80s. Davox terminal lot: set of 3 (color terminal/monitor + keyboard) + wide chain printer, from CR
FOR SALE
Set of 3 Davox branded terminals, 3 matching keyboards, 1 matching wide format chain paper printer, and some of the original boxes. Because these are in various states of functionality and the Davox brand has seemingly never been heard of before, I want all of these to go to one person/entity who is intent on and skilled enough to get them working. These are all from Computer Reset. The keyboards each have a telephone receiver cradle, but no telephone receivers are included in this lot. I imagine they might have been used for a purpose like the operators at QVC for over-the-telephone product orders.

The working terminal can do a keyboard test and go into some of the settings. It seems to be stuck on a "load in progress" message which I think means it is waiting for something from the long-estranged host.

The printer has no ribbon, but appears functional. Got it to print part of a test page, but could not print anything from DOS. The printer has the Davox brand on the outside, but inside it is branded Genicom, which is a company that has made printers and other computer peripherals for decades.

See link here for forum post which includes more details and many photographs.

Packard Bell 386 For Sale
FOR SALE
Very nice condition Packard Bell Legend 386-25, 4MB. Really doesn't come any cleaner - maybe if there weren't stickers on it. It's not a speed demon but for a few old DOS games it works great. Has an eBay OPTi 82C930 sound card, which works well. Loaded with the original Packard Bell Windows 3.1 Image and original hard drive. I also have an original Packard Bell keyboard to go with it, BUT it is very worn out and dirty.

I have no idea what these items are actually worth. I've had my fun. I'll consider trades for other complete systems. Make me an offer I can't refuse. I'll be at VCF all day Saturday. Photos below:

Donation Prizes for Trivia Talk at 2027 VCFMW22
WANTED
Hello,

For the 2027 VCFMW22 show I will be hosting a Trivia Talk in the MAIN room... and I need donations for prizes!

All prizes are donated; and props will be given to any individual/company that donates with your name displayed on screen and/or mentioned during the trivia game/raffle to everyone in the room. (Or it can be from Anonymous)

I will be attending VCFMW21 (2026) on Saturday 9/12. If you'd have an item(s) at the ready please provide contact info & Exhibitor Booth Number and I can connect with you in-person to obtain the prize for the 2027 show (to save on shipping/logistics later). If that doesn't work, we can figure out logistics for obtaining the donation. (I do live locally in the Chicago-land area)

Prizes should be VCFMW-related/adjacent in any condition and any value. Even items that need a lot of TLC are fine...
At the free family-friendly Trivia 2027 event there will be many vintage-computer related questions with fun prizes for the audience. More prizes = More trivia!

You do not have to be an Exhibitor at the 2026 or 2027 VCFMW Show to donate an item. Individuals/companies/anyone welcome to donate.

Feel free to FWD this email to anyone you might think could donate.

Date/Schedule is pending for the 2027 event; with more details to come later.

Thank you for the consideration,

Sharing classic Lode Runner levels
WANTED
I'd like to find other players of the original 1980's Lode Runner game (Apple II, Commodore 64, Atari, Macintosh), who have original levels to share.

Note: I'm not looking for the game itself, I'm looking for *level sets that you or someone you know created*. If you have the files but no way to read them, I can help. There was once a community of user-created level files and I'd like to see how much of that can be restored.

Service: floppy disks to DSK images
WANTED
I'd love to find someone offering floppy disk (3.5", 400k/800k/1.4MB) conversion to DSK images as a service. I'll bring my own USB stick for the output data.

Reasons I haven't bought a floppy USB disk drive to do it myself:
* https://www.reddit.com/r/vintagecomputing/s/Ijv5tZPlGG says they usually don't work (particularly 400k and 800k disks)
* I have exactly 20 disks to copy; no more
* I may not be alone; there are probably others who want the same thing (and maybe other formats, such as 5.25")

Will anyone have the required hardware at the exhibitor hall?

I think $1/disk seems reasonable, so $20 from me.

I also have some QIC-80 tapes (DC2120) so would consider a drive that reads those if a TR-3 can't be located.

If unsure if working I'd buy as a parts only drive if the price was reasonable.

Software for the drive would be a bonus but not a requirement.

DEC VT220 terminal and keyboard
WANTED
Seeking a VT220 terminal, ideally green monochrome, and ideally with a very specific English language keyboard layout that had multicolor printing (I believe including red and yellow) on the keys' top and front faces. I do not have a photograph of the keyboard in question, but I think I would know it if I saw it. The base model number of the keyboards seems to be LK201, and possibly the model I am seeking is LK201-BA.

I have only ever seen this keyboard layout twice in person: once in college, and once at VCFMW 2025 where someone else bought it while I was walking around considering buying it. I am hoping to rectify that. :)

WANTED: People for Vintage LAN Party
WANTED
We are the NIVGG: Northern Illinois Vintage Gaming Group

We are a group of vintage computer-gaming enthusiasts in Northern Illinois who enjoy rebuilding and using the hardware that made PC gaming great during the DOS and Windows 98 era.

Our meetups attempt to recreate the old-school LAN-party experience using period-correct computers, CRT monitors, sound cards, network cards, and even primitive BNC coax networking (10 Base T & Token Ring).

We are currently building and restoring systems for multiplayer and single-player classics such as:
Duke Nukem 3D, Doom II, Heretic, Terminal Velocity, Diablo 1, Strife, Battlezone, Unreal, and many other DOS and Windows 95/98 games.

This group is for anyone interested in:
Vintage DOS and Windows gaming
Building or restoring Windows 98SE computers
Classic LAN parties and multiplayer gaming
BNC coax, IPX/SPX, CRT monitors, Sound Blaster cards, 3dfx graphics, and other vintage hardware
Sharing our technical knowledge, troubleshooting tips, and nostalgia

Whether you still own an original gaming computer, are building one from spare parts, or simply remember hauling a beige tower and CRT monitor to a friend’s house, you are welcome here.

Our goal is to preserve the experience of classic PC gaming by using real vintage hardware whenever possible - complete with cables, configuration problems, driver conflicts (lol), floppy disks, CD-ROMs, and plenty of snacks and drinks such as Bawls.

We were late coming in, but if space becomes available at VCFMW, we will have a 16' booth housing 4 vintage machines playing on a 10 Base T BNC network. Attendees will be allowed to sit down and play some old favorites again.

We may even have some Bawls soda available.

Clark's Wanted Atari Stuff ~ Store Displays, Signs and other Rare Hardware
WANTED
Hello, my name is Clark. I am a member of the Suburban Chicago Atarians and have been exhibiting at VCFMW as well as some other local conventions consistently for nearly the last decade now. You may remember me best for my different Atari kiosks which I have brought in previous years. I hope to find more interesting pieces of Atari's history to exhibit and share with the world, and hopefully even one day place in a local museum for permanent viewing!

Some Atari Display items I am looking for:
-Small Computer Demonstration Center Kiosk
-Medium Computer Demonstration Center Kiosk
-Atari ClubMed Computer Kiosk (Florida only?)
-Linx Standing Kiosk
-Linx Tabletop Kiosk
-5200 Tabletop Display
-800/400 Computer Tabletop Display
-ANY Displays for the 7800, XEGS, XE Computers, or ST Computers
-Atari Service Center Banner & any other Service Center items
-Atari Signage and Standees
-imagic/Parker Bros 2600 Kiosk
-Event displays from shows such as CES (ex: Atari Eric & Atari Mindlink)
-Atari Display Cabinets
-Any other older displays and kiosks which I may not have listed here, even if it is for other computers or video game systems, such as Commodore or Nintendo for example.

I am also looking for some harder to find computers for exhibiting:
-Atari Falcon 030
-Atari Stacy (any)
-Atari MegaSTE
-Atari PS3000
-Atari XMM801 Printer
-Atari XC201/XTM201/XM128 Printers (proto)
-Atari XF351/XF521 Floppy Drives (proto)
-Atari 1450XLD (proto)
-Atari 65XEP (proto)

Other Atari items I hope to find:
-Atari Video Music
-Atari Hotz Keyboard
-Atari Voice Box II
-(Any) Androbot Robot
-Hubot Robot

Unrelated items I am looking for:
-Basic Cartridge for Sharp PC-5000
-MS DOS cartridge for Sharp PC-5000
-TRS-80 Expansion Interface
-DC-2 Robot

If you have ANY of these items, please let me know. The only issue is that I am VERY limited on funds, so please be mindful of the price. For example I am NOT spending over $3k on a Falcon 030, I would hope to spend less than $1k for one in good shape. Although I am an exhibitor and enthusiast of rare Atari items, I am not rich, or even close to it. Some of these items may even be worth far too much for me to even afford, but it doesn't hurt to ask! Perhaps maybe I can even trade some other vintage computer items. Thank you!

Want To Trade: PVM 1943MD for a 27" CRT
WANTED
I have a nice Sony 1943MD PVM that I would like to trade for a 27” curved tube CRT at VCF MW (can't ship fragile CRTs anymore). This PVM has served me well for many years, but as I’m getting older I’d like something bigger to play my classic games on.

I’m looking for a 27 CRT that:

* Has a curved tube (no flatscreens)
* Is bright and crisp
* Has very good convergence and geometry (doesn’t have to absolutely perfect but I’m picky about geometry and fuzzy corners)
* Doesn’t suffer from blooming/breathing issues (bright white sections don't bend inwards)
* Needs to either have component or be RGB modded

The 1943MD is in good shape and works great. The paint has some of the typical small scratches that most PVM sets seem to have. The geometry is dialed in the best I could but I'm sure someone can do better. To the best of my knowledge this set has never been recapped, but I haven’t seen any issues with it in all my time using it.

If you're interested in trading at the show, drop me a line.

I can provide more pictures upon request.

CP/M-86 for the Sony SMC-70

A bit of a rare duck, The SMC-70 was an 8-bit Z80 machine, but had a 16-bit 8086 add-on (the Supercharger) that ran CP/M-86 (a version of MS-DOS also existed within Sony, and it was advertised to run Concurrent CP/M, both of which were never released).
